Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery discusses how to design a better SEQ Regional Plan

Peter Flannery is Mayor of Moreton Bay – and no one would appreciate the SEQ growth challenge better. Think the Caboolture West development corridor, the Petrie Mill project, countless residential developments, a $300m+ hospital expansion, a target additional 230,000 people by 2041, an additional 100,000 jobs, and a doubling of their economy to $40 billion – this will be a growth engine room of South East Queensland.

So what does this Mayor make of the settings in the SEQ Regional Plan and related infrastructure strategies? What would he like to change? What are his biggest priorities and ambitions for the region? If Mayor Peter Flannery could re-shape the SEQ Regional Plan, where would he start?

Joining Mayor Flannery will be Greg Chemello, CEO of Moreton Bay Council.
